Show Notes

Episode Notes:

Author Ron Koltnow is a student of micro history. His first book is a study in regional history, exploring the legend of Barberton Chicken, in Akron, Ohio. It is the story of immigration in early America.

We talk about his connection to the area and how he came to be an author, before transitioning into his latest project, the dramatic  origins of the humble thermos and how it played a key role in cuisine.

Come along on our conversation as we discuss what it is like to be a micro historian.
